In the high plateaus of Pedregulho, where gentle mornings roll across the hills of Alta Mogiana, coffee is more than a crop, It is a shared heritage. Here, generations of smallholder farmers work side by side, tending to their trees with quiet dedication.
At the heart of this community stands the Alta Mogiana Cooperative, a collective formed to protect tradition, uplift families, and bring the best of their region to the world. Each farmer contributes only a small amount of harvest, but when these lots come together, handpicked, carefully sorted, and processed with pride, they create something truly special.
The cooperative model gives every member a voice. Profits are returned to farmers, quality premiums are distributed fairly, and resources like technical training, modern processing equipment, and sustainability programs are shared by all. What begins as a smallholder’s effort becomes a high-quality coffee shaped by many hands.
Alta Mogiana’s unique terroir, its rich red soil, calm climate, and elevations approaching 1,100 meters, gives the coffee a naturally sweet, comforting profile. But it’s the cooperative that adds the final layer of character. Their collective care results in beans known for creamy body, balanced acidity, notes of chocolate, caramel, and warm nuts.
